Calling all stitchers, knitters, crocheters, and more… Push/Pull’s December art show, "the good scissors!”, will be a first in our new location — all fiber art!

The theme is, in general, 'texture in fiber arts' so pull out “the good scissors” and get inspired to experiment and play with textures! While these pieces will be displayed over the month of December, this is not holiday themed. All fiber art pieces will be considered for the show, but original designs only (no purchased kits or patterns, please. No licensed characters, etc.). All pieces should be display ready (able to hang on a wall).

• Show opening is 12/15/2022 6pm - 9pm
• Artwork shows through 1/17/2023.
• All unsold artwork must be picked up by 2/1/2023.

Bal-Art is looking for fresh art for our Third Thursdays posters. Artists in the Ballard neighborhood are invited to submit work that they feel would be suitable for posters. Posters will be updated quarterly and are posted around Ballard and online. Art should be something existing, we are not asking artists to create new work. Below is the list of criteria for submission: 

• Artist must live or work in Ballard and be over 18
• Artwork should be suitable for all ages 
• Artwork must be 100% the intellectual property of the artist, we cannot use parody or derivative work
• Artwork should be something existing in the artist's collection, please do not create new work
• Artwork must be scanned or photographed at high resolution suitable for print

Selected artists will receive $150 artist licensing fee for the use of their work. Artists retain all copyright, sales and reproduction rights. Bal-Art agrees to only use the artwork for the months agreed on and for archive purposes after the advertising period. Artists will be credited/tagged in all posts or prints.
